While searching for the perfect name for our venue, we wanted something deeply Greek, as the mother tongue is the language of the heart and emotions. We sought a name that expresses the uniqueness and special nature of the moments we will share with you. We were looking for something that inspires positivity, hope, and light. Thus, the word "Aelia" captivated us from the very first moment.

"Aelia" is a word that dates back to the Homeric era and means "source of life from light." It comes from the word "aelios," which meant Sun in ancient Greek— a symbol of light and hope that gives life to everything. When we decided to name our venue "Aelia," we knew that this name embodied something more than mere inspiration; it was a wish. We wish for the lives and souls of all to always be bright, filled with sunshine and happy moments, just like the ones we hope to create together with you at the Ktima Aelia.
